Flyying Colours are back with their new single "Not Today," available as a limited CD single and digital download on July 1.
The band has been soaring on the success of their debut EP that was released on vinyl last March on Shelflife in the US and Club AC30 in the UK. "Not Today" is the perfect follow up to their much-loved previous singles "Wavygravy" and "Like You Said". They continue right where they left off with more lush driving guitars swirling behind incessant bass and drums, all topped off with Brodie and Gemma's swoon-worthy vocals. "Not Today" is one of the catchiest tracks yet and a teaser of what is coming up next from the band.
Formed in 2011, Flyying Colours is Brodie J Brümmer (vox/Guitar), Gemma O'Connor (vox/Guitar) and the drums & bass of brothers Sam and Joshua Dawes. They are proving to be the brightest stars in Melbourne's vibrant shoegaze scene. The band is setting up another Australian tour in July before preparing for their first UK/Europe tour in the not too distant future. They are also working on their second 12" release coming soon on Shelflife.

"Chances are this tune from Flyying Colours is going to make a fan out of you! Presumptuous sure, but these guys are belting out a noise that instantly pricks peoples ears up"

- Finest Kiss
"There's clear traces of a lot of the originators of the genre in here, and they deliver it with class. High quality shoegaze!"
- Sly Vinyl
"This ain't no background music kids, this is the kind of EP that you need to take lying down and allow yourself to get lost in."
"It sounds big and it sounds good, like it was recorded with a cliff-face of amps in an abandoned wind tunnel"
"It's hard not to crush on the extensive, encircling sounds of Melbourne's Flyying Colours"
