Evening Lights were an indie pop band from San Francisco that existed from 2002-2005 and whose members went on to form LoveLikeFire, Tears Run Rings and Silver Swans. They wrote many songs and played numerous live shows, but only released a single five track EP (Landscape on Shelflife Records). Now the posthumous album release, entitled The Disappointment, is finally available. Sixteen tracks were hand-selected by the band from live takes, radio sessions, demos, and abandoned studio recordings. It's all very raw and at times lo-fi, but the strong melodies carry the unfinished arrangements and stand the test of time.
